Old Man Pohutukawa – Lottin Point

Lottin Point sits atop East Cape where the land turns from an easterly facing orientation to follow a westward path all the way to Opotiki.  I have had the good fortune to holiday here and to experience its unique character.  Although farmed, it retains bush and a coastal fringe of magnificent pohutukawas, here depicted in the full bloom of an early summer – framing the westward view down to Cape Runaway.
